Worked example 1
Texas's 'Slow Vehicle' law (§545.363) requires a driver moving slower than the normal speed of traffic to:
- Drive in the center lane
- Drive in the right-hand lane available for traffic, or as close as practical to the right curb or edge of the roadway Correct
- Stop and wait for traffic to pass
- Drive on the shoulder
Why: On a roadway with multiple lanes in the same direction, slower-moving vehicles must keep right except when overtaking, preparing to turn left, or as otherwise directed.
